Terms of use
Effective October 31, 2026
By using Orbit Home, you agree to these terms.
The app
Orbit Home is a free app that shows the cameras of your DVR and your IP cameras over the local network, and controls Smart Life devices through the Tuya API. It relies on devices and services that are yours or belong to third parties: the DVR, the cameras, your network, the Tuya account and, if you use sync, your Google account.
Your responsibilities
- Use the app only with cameras, recorders and devices that you own or are allowed to use.
- Respect other people's privacy and the laws on recording and video monitoring.
- Protect your device and your passwords. Anyone with your unlocked device can also reach the cameras and the devices; that is what the app lock in Settings is for.
- Follow the terms of Tuya, Google and the makers of your devices.
Gates, locks and other actions
The app can trigger relays that open gates, unlock doors and turn appliances on. These commands go through the Tuya cloud and may be delayed, fail, or run without the app being able to confirm them. Before triggering one, make sure it is safe: that no people, animals or vehicles are in the way. Do not use the app as your only means of security, alarm or emergency.
Third-party services
Orbit Home is not affiliated with Tuya, Google, Intelbras, Dahua, Hikvision or any other maker. The names and trademarks mentioned belong to their owners. Limits, charges, changes or outages of those services, such as the Tuya call quota, are outside the app's control.
No warranty
The app is provided as is, with no warranty of continuous operation, of compatibility with every device or of being free of errors. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for damages caused by using the app or by being unable to use it, including failures of video, recording or device actions.
Privacy
How your data is handled is in the privacy policy.
Changes
These terms may change. The new version is published on this page, with its date at the top, and using the app after that means accepting it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without removing the rights that the consumer laws of your country give you.
